Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (Pj) Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni attended the 2024 BKN Supervision and Control Coordination Meeting (Rakor) with the theme “Realizing the Neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Frame of Meritocracy Towards a World Class Bureaucracy”. Located at The Stones Hotel Bali, Tuesday (06/2/2024).
The coordination meeting was attended by the Central and Regional Governments and opened virtually by the Minister of PAN-RB Abdullah Azwar Anas.
In his presentation, the Minister of PAN-RB said that Indonesia will move towards the top 4 world economies, to achieve this it requires competitive human resources, professional bureaucracy and quality public services.
Plt. Head of BKN, Haryomo Dwi Putranto, said the Government had made a Joint Decree (SKB) regarding Guidelines for the Development and Supervision of Neutrality of ASN Employees in the Implementation of Elections and Pilkada
In the SKB, BKN is mandated to build an Integrated Sharing System (SBT), which will be a joint means to increase synergy in fostering and monitoring ASN neutrality.
Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni said, in order to realize ASN neutrality, South Sumatra Province was the first in Indonesia to carry out a Simultaneous Provincial and Regency/City Government ASN Neutrality Declaration which was attended by 180,751 people.
“The neutrality of ASN in elections and regional elections is an obligation that must be adhered to firmly. The support of the Provincial and Regency/City Governments is needed so that the 2024 General Election and Pilkada can be successful. “At the same time making South Sumatra Province a model for implementing peaceful elections and local elections throughout Indonesia,” he stressed.
