Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah, presented a number of alternative offers to respond to challenges and issues of entrepreneurship, including creating a conducive business climate, one of which is the provision of inclusive digital infrastructure.
In a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, Minister of Manpower Ida explained that a number of offers to respond to entrepreneurial challenges in the short, medium and long term were part of the results of the discussion of the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers Meeting (G20 LEMM) held in Bali last month.
“This alternative offer is important, because as we all know that the COVID-19 pandemic and the global economic slowdown have put quite heavy pressure on the entrepreneurial world,” said the Minister of Manpower Ida at the G20 Entrepreneurship Roundtable Conference which was attended virtually.
The event, which was held in collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center, carried the theme “Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship as an Instrument for Job Creation”.
Ida said the first alternative offer was to create a conducive business climate, including through the provision of inclusive digital infrastructure, ease of business permits and facilitation of assistance into formal businesses, both with regulatory support and incentives.
Second, the massification of entrepreneurship programs and entrepreneurship training, including through the provision of business incubator networks, digital skills training and business management, as well as the application of environmentally friendly businesses to create green entrepreneurship.
Third, encourage financial inclusion through easy access to entrepreneurship financing, especially for women, youth and persons with disabilities.
Ida also highlighted the need for the fulfillment of basic labor rights, social security, protection of occupational safety and health, as well as strengthening social dialogue between business actors and their workers. (mhn/bbs)
