The term Eid al-Yatama (Hari Raya orphans) is actually just an expression of joy for orphans, because at that time many people paid attention and compensation to them.
The 1st of Muharram 1442 Hijriyah itself falls on 20 August 2020, while the 10th of Muharram falls on Saturday 29 August 2020.
The momentum of 10 Muharram is what prompted the head of the TP PKK South Sumatra, Feby Deru, to provide compensation and food packages for orphans in Lorong Antara, 7 Ulu.
Especially during the covid-19 pandemic, many people were economically affected and experienced difficulties.
The head of the TP PKK South Sumatra, Feby Deru, said that the food package assistance for 50 orphans was expected to be able to lighten their burden a little.
“This is a form of our care and affection for the orphans in Lorong Antara. Hopefully this will be useful. Indeed, we are currently facing difficult times. But we are sure we can get through it”, explained Feby in front of the orphans and residents of 7 Ulu. who also witnessed the provision of compensation, Saturday (29/08/2020) morning.
Collaboration, attention and care as neighbors in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, continued Feby, are really needed. Moreover, the economic downturn has had an impact on almost all aspects of the economy.
For that, to the orphans, Feby advised not to be discouraged and study hard to achieve dreams and aspirations.
“Children, don’t give up. Even though currently the online learning system still has to be diligent and persistent. Right now everything is really difficult. But I believe you all can realize your dreams. Children are our next generation. Pursue and make it happen. Your aspirations are as high as possible “, said Feby.
No doubt the message and advice from the wife of the number one person in South Sumatra sparked excitement and joy on the faces of the orphans who received compensation.
As Muhammad Riziq Shihab felt. A happy hue radiated on the boy’s face 4 years. Riziq, who dreams of becoming a policeman and ustadz, admits that he is happy to receive compensation and food packages from the wife of the Governor of South Sumatra.
“Yes, I feel happy and very happy. Thank you for Mrs. Feby,” he said cheerfully.
Like Riziq and Alviona, the youngest orphaned girl also feels the same joy. He looks radiant when receiving compensation.
Meanwhile, H.M Salim, a religious figure in the neighborhood expressed his appreciation for the attention given by the Head of the South Sumatra TP PKK to the orphans in Lorong Antara.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to Ms. Feby, also to the members of the TP PKK South Sumatra. This really means a lot to us. Especially for the orphans here”, he said sadly.
After handing over compensation for orphans, still in the Lorong Antara area, 7 Ulu, Feby Deru also took the time to visit several residents who were sick and needed help.
