Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru attended the inauguration of the board of the Palembang Chapter 2020-2024 Indonesian Management Association (AMA) virtually from Hotel Swarna Dwipa, Saturday (29/09/20). To the newly appointed board, HD aims to immediately innovate in advancing the business and economic world in South Sumatra.
According to HD, he believes that the managers who have been elected in this organization can carry out their duties properly, because they have been selected and appointed by mutual agreement to advance the organization.
“To these new administrators, we hope to increase cooperation with business people in Indonesia and in other countries, as well as provide innovations that will advance the business world and will have an impact on the improvement of the Indonesian economy, especially in South Sumatra,” he said.
Furthermore, HD said, with the inauguration of the new board, it is also hoped that the AMA will continue the vision of making Indonesian management community organizations that are leading professional and ethical and able to compete at the global level. Through increased competence in terms of entrepreneurship which includes knowledge, skills and attitudes, as well as building a network of Indonesian management communities is expected to increase productivity and innovation in order to contribute to Indonesia’s development.
Regarding the continued pandemic HD, currently not only in Indonesia but around the world are also facing the Covid-19 outbreak and limited space for activities. However, efforts are made to not limit activities to continue advancing the Indonesian economy.
On that occasion HD also congratulated the new Palembang Chapter AMA management and thanks the old management who have carried out their duties properly for the progress of the organization.
“For the new board members who are happy to work, hopefully they can continue the vision and mission of the old board so that they will be more successful in the future,” he added.
The event was attended by the President of AMA Indonesia, Suhartono Chandra and the General Chairperson of the Palembang Chapter of AMA, Wawi Susanto Hasan Basri. As well as officials accompanying the Governor, namely the Head of the South Sumatra Economic Bureau, Aprian Joni and the Head of the South Sumatra Cooperatives and SME Service Office, Hj. Musiawati.
