Governor Herman Deru Sends Team for Rapid Test Assistance

The meeting itself was chaired directly by the Head of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid Handling 19 Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo and was followed by 12 Governors throughout Indonesia.

Not only providing 1,000 rooms for ODP isolation at Wisma Atab Jakabaring, to provide security to the people of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, it has also distributed PPE assistance to burial officers in South Sumatra. In this way, it is hoped that rejection will not occur in South Sumatra.

According to HD, so far the public awareness of isolation is very high. Not only from the general public but students returning from boarding schools from Java are also very cooperative undergoing screening at the ODP center in order to break the Covid chain in South Sumatra.

“We provide rooms equivalent to hotels, adequate food, and gym activities for ODP. Likewise for medical personnel, the South Sumatra Provincial Government is preparing a pride hotel in the Swarna Dwipa area for them to rest, “explained HD.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Covid Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid Handling 19 Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo said that the coordination meeting aimed to record the development of Covid management as a whole manner from each regional head in Indonesia. To prevent the spread of Covid, according to him, the Regional Head also needs to involve community leaders.

According to him, prevention efforts are very important because it is quite difficult if only relying on the health system. For example, there are very few pulmonary specialists, around 1: 1.2 million people. Likewise the availability of beds.
