Papua Governor Lukas Enembe’s Corruption Allegation Is Not Just One Case

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the alleged racism committed by the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe (LE), was not just one case. Currently, all of them are being investigated by the KPK.

“What is being handled regarding LE is not just one, yes. We are currently handling several,” said Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Karyoto as quoted on KPK YouTube, Wednesday (21/9/2022).

1. There are reports from the public regarding allegations of corruption in Papua

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still reluctant to detail the cases that are suspected of ensnaring the Democrat Party politician. Karyoto said the cases would be linked to public reports.

“It will be linked to several community reports from the dumas (community complaints), which are related to Papua and are also linked to the existing PPATK,” said Karyoto.

2. All allegations of Lukas Enembe corruption will be investigated by the KPK

Although still reluctant to go into details, Karyoto ensured that the KPK would continue to investigate the entire case of Lukas Enembe. The public was asked to be patient.

“So, indeed, the fingerprinting process is in progress, and there are several cases that we are currently carrying out,” said Karyoto.

3. Luke Enembe has been prevented from going abroad until March 2023

The KPK has named Lukas Enembe as a suspect for alleged bribery and gratification. However, the chairman of the Papuan Democratic Party DPD has not been arrested.

The KPK has also not detailed the case and the parties suspected of being involved. New details will be revealed when forced detention attempts are made.
