Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) cycling in the Sudirman-Thamrin car free day (CFD) area, Jakarta, Sunday.
Wearing a white shirt combined with a blue vest, President Jokowi departed from the Merdeka Palace to the CFD area on his bamboo bicycle.
Based on information from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, President Jokowi mingled with people who also exercise and enjoy CFD. Several times, the President was seen getting off his bicycle to greet and take selfies with the public.
“He’s very humble (humble), even though it’s really dangerous, yes there are many people around him, but he still wants to go down,” said Aderina, one of the CFD visitors.
Meanwhile, Vera, a visitor from Tangerang, was pleased to be able to take a photo with the Head of State on that occasion.
Some people were also surprised, because they did not expect to meet President Jokowi.
“Very happy, didn’t expect to meet President Jokowi,” said Syahrul, a CFD visitor who came from Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
After cycling for about an hour along the Sudirman-Thamrin road, President Jokowi then turned around on Jalan Galunggung and returned to the Merdeka Palace. (mhn/bbs)
