The President invited several residents to have lunch together at a restaurant

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – President Joko Widodo invited a number of residents to have lunch together at a restaurant, on the sidelines of his activities in Blora, Central Java, Friday.

Sutarti, one of the residents who at that time had the opportunity to be invited to eat by the President admitted that he was happy and did not expect it.

“I’m glad I met Pak Jokowi, happy sir, I don’t dream of meeting the number one person in Indonesia,” said Sutarti, according to a press release received from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, in Jakarta, Friday.

Sutarti said that at that time she was with other people gathered on the side of the road. Suddenly she was invited by the Presidential Guard (Paspampres) to enter the restaurant the President was visiting.

“(Again) the umbrella, the queue was jostling, then the gentlemen said, ‘Come on, mother, we invite you here, let’s invite you to eat together’. (I) cried Ma’am, I didn’t dream,” said Sutarti.

Sutarti stated that this rare moment would become a story for her family. “Yes, later on, their children in Mojokerto don’t call, (want to tell them) they’re happy to be invited to eat,” she explained.

Another community named Siti Mariyatun also felt the same way. She and her two children, who had been waiting to meet the President since this morning, were happy to be invited by the President to lunch.

“Alhamdulillah, I’m so happy that it’s hot. Can’t say any more. Anyway, I’m really happy to be able to meet Pak Jokowi in person, it’s like a dream,” she continued.

President Jokowi also approached the table where they were eating and greeted her. “How have you eaten yet?” asked the President.
