Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) accompanied by the Chairman of the Family Welfare (TP PKK) South Sumatra Province, Hj. Febrita Lustia Herman Deru attended the opening ceremony of the 2021 Sriwijaya Festival.
The activity was opened directly by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno by beating a gong accompanied by the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru as a sign of the opening of the 2021 Sriwijaya Festival which will be held from 22 to 28 October 2021 at the Sriwijaya Cultural Park. .
“This is the first festival that I have attended, I really appreciate the implementation of this activity and of course through this activity it can provide enthusiasm for creative economy drivers and contribute to the National Economic Recovery in South Sumatra”, he said.
He also said that the XXIX Sriwijaya Festival was included in the charism of the Archipelago in 2021.
“I want this activity to be carried out at an international level next year,” he said.
HD also explained that the Sriwijaya Festival is one way for the government to realize the National Economic Recovery by re-activating tourist attractions and cultural arts owned by South Sumatra.
HD also said that he and the DPRD Prov. South Sumatra has issued Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2021 which regulates local wisdom by highlighting the characteristics of South Sumatra culture in building ornaments and other activities carried out in the South Sumatra region.
In addition, HD also hopes that Minister Sandiaga Uno and other invited guests can attend the Sriwijaya Ranau Gran Fondo bicycle sport event in 2021 which will be held on November 13, 2021 at Lake Ranau OKU Selatan District South Sumatra Province. (mhn/ril)
