Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov Sumsel) held a Fun Walk and Joint Exercise in the Yard of the South Sumatra Governor’s Office on Friday (9/5/2025) morning. This activity is part of the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the South Sumatra Province.
Despite the rain, the enthusiasm of the participants did not diminish. The excitement of the event was even more pronounced with the distribution of door prizes. The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, specifically gave Umrah prizes to two lucky door prize winners.
In this moment of celebrating the Anniversary of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Governor Herman Deru invited all levels of the South Sumatra Provincial Government to continue to work consistently in accordance with the mandate they have been given, without being influenced by the existing political dynamics.
“Let’s work together again to make South Sumatra Continue to Advance for All,” said Governor Herman Deru enthusiastically.
Furthermore, he also invited all parties to maintain and even improve the achievements that have been achieved previously. According to him, the achievements achieved are an important indicator in measuring public satisfaction with government performance.
“ASN’s job is to serve the community. Therefore, I, together with Mr. Cik Ujang, invite all parties to work together to run the government as well as possible,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of South Sumatra Province, Edward Candra, reported that the series of celebrations for the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s Anniversary will be enlivened by various other social activities, such as visits to social institutions, blood donation, cleanliness competitions, tree planting at Lake OPI Jakabaring, and the peak event which will be held on May 15, 2025.
Also present were the Chairperson of the South Sumatra PKK TP, Hj Feby Herman Deru, the Chairperson of the South Sumatra KORMI, Sasha Tivani Candra, the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DWP, Desy Edward Candra, and the Heads of the South Sumatra OPDs. (ojn/ril)
