HD attends a series of casual walks in Pulau Panggung Village

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The extraordinary enthusiasm that was emitted by the people of Pulau Panggung Village, Semende Darat Laut District, Muara Emim Regency welcomed the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru who also attended a series of leisurely walks in Pulau Panggung Village, Sunday (23/7).

The relaxed walk initiated by the Chairman of the South Sumatra KORMI Hj. Samantha Tivani HD was attended by approximately 3,000 people from Semende Raya, including Semende Darat Laut, Semende Darat Tengah, Semende Darat Ulu.

Herman Deru said that he deliberately came to Semende Darat Laut District to fulfill an invitation from a local community leader. Through healthy activities, namely leisure walks, he said friendship can be maintained.

Apart from attending the fun walk, the arrival of the number one person in South Sumatra is also to absorb the aspirations of the Semende Darat Laut.

Herman Deru said that he was accompanied by officials from the Prov. Government. South Sumatra and the Muara Enim Regency Government to listen to various reports from the public

As one of the provinces that has succeeded in reducing the stunting rate, the South Sumatra Provincial Government is now increasingly trying to make the stunting rate in South Sumatra more sloping.

As the regional head in South Sumatra, Herman Deru expressed his gratitude to the mothers in Semende for contributing to reducing the stunting rate in South Sumatra.

Also in the friendly meeting, Herman Deru met one of the 2nd graders of Junior High School (SMP), Rega Wijaya, who is the son of the late. Sulistiawati, a victim who was preyed upon by a tiger in 2019.

Reka was visited by Herman Deru in 2019, where he promised to give Rega an educational scholarship.

He kept that promise when he met Rega again at Pulau Panggung Village, he directly provided educational scholarships for Rega.

Meanwhile the Chief Executive for the leisure walk, Narsun expressed his gratitude to the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru and the chairman of the South Sumatra KORMI Hj. Samantha Tivani HD who was pleased and took the time to attend in person. (mhn/ril)
