Palembang, The Indonesia Post – After inaugurating the Sekanak Lambidaro Festival, the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru along the Sekanak river using a rubber boat to sow 10 thousand fish seeds.
The fish seeds came from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, the Public Water Fisheries Research Center and Fisheries Extension (BRPPUPP) Palembang, and Seafdec.
The 10 thousand fish seeds are 2,000 catfish, 2,000 snakehead fish and 6,000 gunshot fish.
On that occasion also to preserve the environment around the Sekanak Lambidaro River, HD planted tree seeds that can help as water catchments. By walking, HD also has the opportunity to greet local residents and play in the playground which is a public means of playing for local residents.
Also present were the Mayor of Palembang Harnojoyo, the Forkopimda of the South Sumatra Province, the Heads of the South Sumatra Province OPD. (ojn/ril)
