Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – In an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus or Covid-19 in Palembang City, the Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru through the Head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) Prov. South Sumatra, Dra. Hj. Megaria distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of 300 masks and 100 face shields (face shields) to the people of Palembang City.
In addition to handing over face shields and masks to the community, Megaria also socialized about health protocols that the community must run.
“We remind you again about the obligation to wear a mask, do physical distancing, maintain personal hygiene by diligently washing your hands or using a hand sanitizer, maintain your body’s immunity with light exercise and nutritious eating. The point is to have a clean and healthy lifestyle, ”she said while distributing Masks and Face Shields at Benteng Kuto Besak (BKB) (7/8).
According to him, the distribution of PPE for the community is a form of concern and concern for the South Sumatra Provincial Government so that during the Covid-19 Pandemic, people can carry out activities as usual while still paying attention to health protocols.
“The distribution of PPE is to support economic productivity in the midst of the co-19 pandemic situation, so that people can continue their activities, especially the economic sector. We must adhere to the implementation of health protocols, such as using masks and face shields, ”she explained.
Furthermore, Megaria explained that activities like today are a shared responsibility and it is our obligation to serve the community to prevent Covid -19
“We, together with all staff / employees, went straight to the community to spray disinfectants and at the same time distribute boxed food,” she said.
He added that this activity was not the first but had been carried out many times, and for today the distribution was carried out at several points including KM 5, Kuto Besak Fortress, the Great Mosque and ending at the An-Nisa Orphanage.
“It can’t be if only the government plays an active role. Everyone must be involved in fighting and breaking the chain of the spread of Covid-19, because the end of this outbreak is not yet certain, “she added. (mhn / rel)
