Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru said the Besemah Region is an icon of strength from the South Sumatra region, besides the people being open to pluralism and having a very high level of openness.
This was stated when attending the Inauguration of the General Chairperson of Youth/I Jeme Kite Besemah (PJKB) for the 2022/2023 Period, Nobles and the Youth Organization/I Jeme Kite Besemah (PJKB) Management Meeting for the 2022/2023 Period.
“Our presence here establishes friendship until communication occurs, so pluralism begins to emerge,” said Governor Herman Deru (HD).
HD said, We can no longer be selfish, there must be openness, especially for millennials whose challenges are increasingly visible with such high hi-tech.
“Never leave education, we gather as a spirit with the younger generation, but education is still the most important thing,” said HD.
HD continued, In 2040, you will become a productive human being, so you need to prepare knowledge, not everyone has talent, so education that creates skills is needed.
“You live once but have meaning. It’s not enough to be with our group but useful to many people,” said HD.
“Pagar Alam has become a Green City and the Epicenter of Education, because the Pagar Alam people are very accepting of pluralism and local wisdom, the ancestral spirit of protecting nature,” concluded HD. (ojn/bbs)
