The National Police Chief states that he is ready to assist the Corruption Eradication Commission in the process of Lukas Enembe

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo said he was ready to help the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) if needed to resolve the corruption case of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe.

“We are ready to back up if the KPK needs it,” said National Police Chief Sigit at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday.

Sigit emphasized that the National Police fully supports efforts to eradicate corruption. The National Police has also prepared 1,800 police personnel in Papua.

“Regarding the case of Lukas Enembe, we have prepared 1,800 personnel in Papua,” said Sigit.

The KPK has summoned Lukas Enembe to be questioned as a suspect at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Monday (26/9). However, Lukas did not fulfill the KPK’s call on the grounds that he was still sick.

The summons is the second time for Lukas Enembe, after he did not attend the summons as a witness on Monday (12/9).

The KPK regrets the attitude of Lukas Enembe who chose not to comply with the summons of the KPK investigators team.

On Tuesday (27/9), the Anti-Corruption Agency also examined a witness, namely Director of Asia Cargo Airlines, Revy Dian Permata Sari, regarding the rental of a private jet by Lukas Enembe (LE) and his family.

“The knowledge of the witness was investigated, including about the existence of several private jet rentals carried out by LE and his family,” said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Wednesday (28/9). (mhn/bbs)
