Governor Khofifah was fascinated by the beauty of the Sentono Gentong Pacitan tour

Pacitan, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, admitted that she was fascinated by the beauty and exoticism of the Sentono Gentong nature tourism vehicle in Dadapan Village, Pringkuku District, Pacitan Regency, East Java.

She conveyed that admiration, Wednesday or the day after he and his entourage stopped at this religious tourism area, during a work visit, Tuesday (10/1).

“Sentono Gentong is like the orchestra of the universe because it has complete natural beauty combined with history and spirituality,” said Khofifah expressing her amazement.

Khofifah stopped by Pacitan during a work visit, inaugurated two emergency bridges in the Kembang Village area, Pacitan City and Wonodadi Village, Ngadirojo District.

She also took advantage of the opportunity for the kunker with his entourage to enjoy the leading tourist destinations in the hometown of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, one of which was the Sentono Gentong nature tour.

“East Java has lots of places that offer beauty for connoisseurs of natural, religious, culinary tourism, as well as challenges for connoisseurs and paragliding athletes. Sentono Gentong is usually opened around March to adjust the wind direction. Sentono Gentong is a tour that has a strong history. This you could say nature tourism is nature, religion is religion, sport is sport,” she said.

“If you want to see ‘harmonious partnership’, here is one example. If we want to see nature tourism and paragliding athletes as well as have a religious heritage, here is one of them,” she continued.

As a religious tourism, Sentono Gentong is a place of pilgrimage.

Inside is a barrel filled with bones brought by Sheikh Subakir from Persia to ward off evil spirits on the island of Java so that Islam can develop.

Khofifah then emphasized that connectivity to Pacitan Regency and other Mataraman areas requires special attention.

With that, the beauty of Pacitan can be further promoted, so that tourists, both domestic and foreign, can enjoy the beautiful charm of Pacitan tourism.

“There are also quite a lot of caves in Pacitan. Starting from natural, religious, culinary, sports tourism, Pacitan can sell a lot. The most important thing is infrastructure development and attracting the right investors. With that, all tourists can enjoy more the beauty of Pacitan, both local and international tourists,” she said ending her explanation. (mhn/bbs)
